A BEDROOM RACHELs HOUSE A quiet and sad toned voice speaks, her voice can be heard but her face is not seen. VOICE OVER They say that nothing good lasts forever, well their right it doesnt. I thought I had it all Production company logo fades onto a black screen; white titles begin to fade onto the screen. The screen fades from black to a bedroom. A medium sized bedroom equipped with a double wardrobe and bunk bed. CLOSE UP A dresser is lined with 3 photos of a girl happy and smiling with different people. Next to the desk is a teenage girl staring out of a window, the camera tilts up on her and as it does so slow and tension building diegetic music is playing. The girl is dressed in a dark jumper and dark skinny jeans. She looks sad and deep in thought. The perfect life. I had great friends, I felt like I could rely on them for anything and we always had a laugh together INT.A bright pink room Three girls, including RACHEL are laughing happily together; they are looking into a camera. As they move in closer together they pull a funny face at the camera, as they do so the screen dissolves and returns back to RACHEL in her bedroom. I miss them now, more than ever. She sighs A great future, I had made it into uni,
After trying out the handheld camera scene where all the friends are happily laughing into the camera, it didnt seem real enough, it looked staged, and so I decided to shoot the scene, in a park with all the friends having fun.

EXT. A ROAD

RACHEL can be seen, running along a road towards a lady, she runs up to the lady and hugs her in a tight hug. RACHEL Ive done it Mum, I passed and Im going to be a doctor. [She shouts happily] MOM Thats my girl [she smiles happily]
The actress playing the mom was not available on the day of filming therefore the scene between Rachel and her mom had to be cut and acts only as a voice over.

INT. RACHELs ROOM CLOSE UP on the image of RACHEL and her mom smiling happily VOICE OVER She was so proud of me that day. She turns away from the window. And then things got better cos I met DAN. CLOSE UP Picture of RACHEL and DAN smiling and laughing. He was everything to me; I never thought anyone could make me as happy as he did. EXT. THE PARK RACHEL and DAN can be seen walking along the path in the park, they are holding hands and are looking happy. RACHEL is smiling and looking at DAN. I loved him [she says sincerely] RACHEL I love walks in the park, dont you [she asks DAN] She looks up into DANs face awaiting his reply. They stop walking and DAN looks into her eyes. DAN Once again due to the male actor not being available I had to shoot this scene as a reaction shot showing Rachel smiling and happy. Yeah, but do you know what else I love RACHEL What? [She asks innocently] DAN You She smiles girlishly. VOICE OVER Things were going good, so he decided that we should take the next step INT. RACHELs BATHROOM RACHEL is standing in a T-shirt staring into the mirror. She looks scared and unsure about what she is about to do.

I told him I was ready, but I wasnt really DAN RACH, arent you ready yet- we dont have to do this you know? [He pauses] Are you sure youre ready? RACHEL Of course I am, Ill be out in a minute VOICE OVER I dont even know why I lied to him I think I was scared of losing him. INT. RACHELs bedroom The camera pans across the floor, where different items of clothing can be seen. VOICE OVER Theres one thing I do knowit was the worst mistake of my entire life. INT. RACHELs bedroom RACHEL is sitting on her bed and is writing on the paper. VOICE OVER A couple of weeks later, I noticed I was late. I also began to feel nauseous every time I saw food. CLOSE UP RACHEL picks up a piece of food and puts it into her mouth. She screws up her face and retches. Just the thought of food and I would be running to the bathroom to be sick. I thought about pregnancy, but I was being sick all times of the day so I just assumed I was developing the flu, But the sickness wouldnt stop, so I decided in order to put my mind to rest I needed to take a test. INT. RACHELs bathroom RACHEL is standing in the bathroom holding the test in her hand and looking worried.

VOICE OVER I had to wait 3 minutes, but it felt like a lifetime. When the time was up, I checked the test, I already knew what it would show, but I just wanted to believe different, I wanted it to show something else, but it didnt RACHEL Im pregnant VOICE OVER I decided to tell DAN, he had to know; I needed to know what to do. EXT. A park RACHEL and DAN are sitting at a bench in the park. They dont look happy. They are making angry gestures towards each other. VOICE OVER I thought he would understand, but I was stupid to think that, he just said. Instead of shooting Rachel and Dan DAN together. I will have the reaction shot of Rachel crying after Dan has rejected her Its over and the baby VOICE OVER That was the worst day of my life. [She pauses] I decided to tell my friends, I knew I could depend on them for anything, but they rejected me tooI had no on left I felt so alone.

CLOSE UP A map, the camera pans across it showing different areas. I thought of running away, my bags were packed and I was ready to go, but then I thought where would I go, I didnt have any money but there was another option- one where I wouldnt have to carry this thing inside me Cuts between the map and EXT. A BRIDGE shots of Rachel throwing clothes into the bag. RACHEL is standing looking over the bridge. I thought of jumping, it was a pretty good idea; it would end all the guilt, the hurt and the pain that I was carrying around. I wouldnt have to deal with this anymore I tried to jump, but I couldnt do it

INT. RACHELs bedroom CLOSE UP Paper as RACHEL continues writing the letter. VOICE OVER I sorry for all of this, disappointing you, ruining my future everything, but I do love you mum and Im really sorry for all of this I cant live like this anymore Goodbye. CLOSE UP a key is placed in the door CLOSE UP Footsteps can be seen walking along the floor. MOM RACH, RACHEL where are you? [She calls] She walks towards Rachels room and lets out a scream. She begins to cry. Credits begin to roll slowly on the side of the screen Diegetic music begins to play quietly rising from low to high. THE END
