This procedure applies to all projects required trial assembly. 2. Purpose: To ensure that all parts of the items will be well fitted when assembled. 3. References: 3.1. 3.2. 3.3. Responsibilities: The Erection Manager is responsible for implementing this procedure and he may nominee this responsibility to the Erection Engineer. The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for all inspection activities related to this procedure. 6. Procedure: 64 Dimension check for the parts to be assembled will be performed using calibrated tools. 6.2 In case of non conformity the assembly will be put in hold and the Q.C.I. and the P.E. will be reported 6.3 Preparation of temporary support levelled using level device will be performed by the E.E. TSF | PRE- ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE Revisin | 0 = = Document No. : NSF-ERC-001 Pa sort 6.4 Start segments assembly using assembly drawings considering | 8& | required gaps. 65 All temporary plates will be used from the cut — off of the items material or from a similar material. 6.6 Temporary plates will be placed equally distant using approved WPS and performed with qualified welders. 67 Scaffoldings will be used starting from 2 m. height up to 10 m. height. 68 More than 10 m. height a man basket will be used. 6.9 Scaffolding and / or man baskets will be checked & approved by the safety inspector before being used. 6.40 Completing assembly, Q.C.I. will check overall dimensions and levels. 611 Being accepted, assembly report will be prepared by Q.C.I. 6.12 Starting dismantling the assembled items to be released. 6.13 All temporary plates will be removed by grinding. No hammering is allowed. 6.14 Any repairs needed due to presence of the weld of the temporary plates will be performed using approval WPS & a qualified welders. 6.15 Repaired areas will be check by MT or PT. 6.16 In case of any non conformity detected in any stage, A NCR will be raised in accordance with NSF ~ QCD — 001. 7.
