Introduction
The concept of data analysis has transformed in years. In most organizations and industries, they
look for better ways to develop services that attract customers to have loyalty of the company.
With example, Alpha Medical Limited is a manufacturing industry in the field of medicine. The
company is at the look out of developing strategies and allocating resources that are useful for
the increase of investment of the company. For the company to get a clear cut on this, it must
play a critical key role in comprehensiveness on communication strategies in making data driven
decisions. An over view of the companies’ framework on mode of operation and data usage to
improve the company efficiency has been put into details.
Organization data analyses
Mode of operation framework
To identify framework based on the initiative to improve the results of the company operations
that are into play and those in progress some of the practices to develop effective results should
be identified. For the company to thrive objectives strategies to address problems should be
established (Gaol, 2013). These strategic problems are because of an existing problem. More
importantly, the strategic objective depends on the assessment of what the company can achieve
(Gaol, 2013). The strategies emphasize on the results of the work done not the work itself.
The stakeholders
Additionally identifying the key stakeholders is of importance. The shareholders help in planning
and implementing some roles in the company . Alpha Medical Limited being a large
manufacturing company targets a large number of populations who benefits from its operations.
With that, the company requires interventions through identifying stakeholders, who are ready to

implement development interventions, accept change and its consequences, allocate resources
and those who are able to make decisions (Holtzhausen and Zerfass, 2015). Having these
stakeholders, the company will increase its outcomes in terms of achieving its plans
(Holtzhausen and Zerfass, 2015). The company as well assesses the problem results outcomes
and outputs.
With the help of the stakeholders, the company reaches the interventions in terms of strategic
objective (Seruca et al., 2006). The outcomes and outputs plays a major role as it acts as a bridge
of what the company targets in future and its current state (Seruca et al., 2006). The outcome is
considered accurate and effectively measured if assigned to the correct intervention.
With the development of the interventions, the company identifies the risks and assumptions
associated with the planning and implementation (Mathison, 2005). In each case, the output and
outcome perceives the assumptions and risks related to environmental, social and political
factors. When the assumptions and risk becomes more substantial, the stakeholders and the
managing staff develop strategies that address the situations at hand.
Data availability and analyses
Consequently, sources of data available both existing and tested data has an advantage on the
decision-making. The information that is relevant after analyses should be based on methods of
collection as well as samples surveyed (Flamm and Luisi, 2013). Data sources are very
important especially in the manufacturing company as it helps the manufactures to identify the
desired outcomes and changes. A data system is highly prioritized as it helps in monitoring and
evaluating processes in the company by giving relevant information (Flamm and Luisi, 2013). .
The users and the programmers should assess the existing data present in the system sources.
Data analysis4
The existing data is accessed regularly to ensure that the information provided is necessary and
not ambiguous for better results (Flamm and Luisi, 2013).

More importantly, the existing data can be improved through developing interventions that are
valid, reliable and available when finding, collecting and sampling useful data (Yamin-Ali,
2014). Additionally, specific regions of the sources of the data as well as other organizations that
develop the data itself influence the existing data. In terms of the regions, the data present
constitutes of some database sections (Yamin-Ali, 2014). To locate the data in the sections and
regions a comprehensive survey is needed to measure the correct valid existing data as in the
figure below (Yamin-Ali, 2014).
Data analysis5

Figure 2. Theoretical/Conceptual Framework for Data-Driven Decision (Yamin-Ali, 2014)
Through interventions, existing data cannot give an effective change of the measured data. With
this, the interventions come up with ways of collecting new data. For the new data to be
collected, the company should focus with the neighborhood with similar circumstances for them
to have experience on how to conduct the survey on data collection. Through the interventions,
the company will assess and evaluate new strategies on how to collect the new data,
The data sources should be assessed to ensure the progress is successful. For the progress, to be
achieved objectives and outcomes should be measured through a qualitative and quantitive
SMART method (O'Neill et al., 2006).

In most cases the effects of interventions needs to be assessed through the progress. The
interventions are assessed through a plan to monitor its performance (Kusek and Rist, 2004). The
monitoring plan depends on the beginning and the values targeted. The beginning of measuring
the targeted values is based on the secondary source of the data (Kusek and Rist, 2004)..
Moreover, monitoring plans as well depends on methods used to collect the data, the team that
conducted the data collection, intervals of data collection and the risks and assessment during
data collection(Kusek and Rist, 2004).. More importantly, during the planning processes on how
to monitor the data some strategies on the management of how data is entered, its quality and
efficiency becomes the baseline.
When two parties provide the data, a comprehensive way out on how to provide the data should
be considered (Kasperson and Stallen, n.d.). The data that is transferred from one group or
person to the other should maintain cohesiveness and help the users to use the data in decision-
making (Kasperson and Stallen, n.d.). Recently, monitoring plans has become common due to
technology advancement. Some of the technology is using web based due to internet and high-
Data analysis7
speed devices (Pick, 2005). Web-based plays a major role in improving the information use and
management during decision-making (Pick, 2005). In most cases, the internet connectivity
reduces time, cost and eases methods of collecting data. The internet connectivity cannot be
depended as it provides the basis understanding in the process of decision-making (Pick, 2005).
Dashboard
Once the plans are put into play, an outline to establish communication and the progress of the
interventions are propagated (Wexler, Shaffer and Cotgreave, 2017). On this approach, it gives a
rise on the dashboard that brings about the objectives, outcomes and outputs that are successfully
achieved (Wexler, Shaffer and Cotgreave, 2017). With example, changing of manufacturing
executive connects intervention with the output of plans to produce and production performance
as shown in the figure below.
Fig 2 analysis of plans on produce production performance (Wexler, Shaffer and Cotgreave,
2017).
Data analysis8
With the rise of production in the manufacturing industry, the production cost of services raises.
With this rate, it raises a powerful communication that can be propagated and this helps to gather
enough help from the main stakeholders (Wexler, Shaffer and Cotgreave, 2017).
Problems Identified From The Key Data Metrics.
Organizations look forward for value creation. Alpha limited being a manufacturing industry
measures its performance in both financial and non-financial statistics (Berrar, Dubitzky and
Granzow, 2003). For the company to understand and determine its relation on how to manage its
performance, it chooses metrics that are clearer: the company needs to define a governing
objective as it helps to allocate capital (Berrar, Dubitzky and Granzow, 2003. Secondly, the
company needs to connect financial and non-financial drivers towards creating a value for the
business (Berrar, Dubitzky and Granzow, 2003. In the financial perspective, the metrics do not
abduct all activities values created but rather determine whether all this values created are
hooked up to financial measures. Thirdly, the company should identify the contribution of its
own employees in the processes of achieving the targeted objective in the governance (Berrar,
Dubitzky and Granzow, 2003. Moreover, the relationship between what the company wants to
achieve should be linked with the employees skills and the objective measures (Kan, 2008). The
alpha limited manufacturers are a predictive company. With the analyses of the company, it
shows that the productivity rate on how the consumer receives the services appreciates. Due to
this, the company ensures that information is quick and efficient (Kan, 2008).. Lastly, the
measure of metrics depends on the evaluation of statistics (Kan, 2008).. The company needs to
evaluate and improve its performance from the past methods of choosing metrics. In today’s
world, identifying and using the metrics are important as they help the company to compete with
others (Kan, 2008).

Benefits and Consequences of Data Driven Decisions in Organizations.
In any nature of an organization set up, data plays a major role as a management tool as it is
viewed as a powerful asset (Smith, 2012). Organizations use embedded data driven decisions in
and out of the organizations with the help of management staff, businesses partners, customers
and social media platforms(Smith, 2012).. In the global economic perspective, business
strategies become significant as they affect the demographic markets with a variety of
factors(Smith, 2012).. Basing on this business strategy, the data analyses and performance
metrics helps an organization to accurately define the businesses strategy and make its processes
more successful (Samitsch, 2015). With the use of the data driven strategy to innovate the
business, the strategy helps the company to be opportunistic and identifies the emerging
competitors efficiently and they are able to compete with them (Samitsch, 2015).
Challenges during Implementations
Decision making in data driven process is a benefit to the alpha limited as it offers wide range of
achievements in the development of the industry but it has a significant challenge. More time and
resources are needed during the development of the interventions (Mandinach and Honey, 2008).
During the establishment of the data sources, the process is exhaustive because relevant results
should be indentified and evaluated to completion (Mandinach and Honey, 2008). The
interventions on the other hand may not be measured to completion, as the progress may not be
captured fully (Spector, 2014). With this, it is important to have the key stakeholders initiated
during the decision-making for them to approve any risk during the results. The measure of the
needed data becomes complicated (Spector, 2014). The quantitive and qualitative data measure
Data analysis10
do not at most times vary. It is important for the company to be mindful of the cost of each data
measure (Spector, 2014).
Conclusion
An overview of how alpha limited can use data to make complete and informed decisions has
been put into details. It is clear that the data driven decision is characterized by interventions.
Graphical representation on data availability and analyses has been posited. Data can be
characterized as an essential tool. The company needs to know about the data and its assessment
but more importantly on the data – driven decision making. The whole framework provides an
overview of data on how it can transform the entire manufacturing company into a more
complex and dynamic environment.
