Many people put their personal information online (address, telephone
number, and so on) for purposes such as signing up for social networks or
online banking.
Is this positive or negative development?
In today’s digital age, sharing personal information online has become a
common practice. Whereas, it is thought that signing up sensitive data – personal
numbers and addresses for social networks or other services can create
opportunities for people from distance using technology such as mobile phones or
computers. While, this trend may bring into suc convinients, I convince that it
leads to negative developments because of serious risks.
On the one hand, it is becoming popular among people to share personal
identities for online resources. It is true that it defeniatly provides convinient from
any distance instead of going outside and weating queue to pay bills for
expendetures. Developing recent technologies such as online platforms leads
people to use it based on their requirements. For example, more developing
countries change paper documents to online formats and people can connect any
companies such as banks.
On the other hand, it leads to serious problems for people. Primarily, sharing
personal details on social networks may cause to attacks on their accounts.
Cybercriminals can hack databeses and user’s information, which then they can
access private accounts. Many hackers use other’s information to earn their money.
Even large companies suffer from hackers attack to company and staff’s accounts
to steal huge profits. In recent criminal in Turkey was a huge absence money from
government’s offices due to underestemete for sharing personal information online.
In conclusion, although people tend to share personal details on social
networks based on their works and requirements, I believe that it causes to
negative developments via a serious risks for their belongings by thiefts. People
should aware of hacking and strict their datas.
