Please respond to the following questions, as directed. Please provide as much detail as
possible in your response--if you do not respond to the questions fully, you will be asked to
rewrite.
1. Look back at your writing process for project 1. In a list of bullet points below, list all the
steps you went through to create your project for today. List as many as you can think of,
including steps you did in our class. Be sure to include challenges and detours, not just
the ideal timeline of the project.
● Create my design plan
● Create a rough draft
● Get professor and peer review
● Create a finial draft
●
2. Where did you do most of your writing/creating for your project? Describe that physical
space: what do you see, hear, feel, do? Describe the experience of working on your
project using adjectives.
I did most of the writing for my project in my dorm. It is a quiet space that allows me to think.
The room doesn’t have a lot in it so there’s not much that can distract me once I get to writing.
3. Name any and all challenges you encountered while working on your project: what was
the challenge? How did you overcome it? Examples might include distractions, time
constraints, changing your topic, working around sources that were unavailable, etc.
My biggest challenge while writing this project was allowing myself to write what I actually felt
like writing. I was super nervous that people would judge me while I was writing my project and
that they would judge me for what my project was about. Since it was a personal project the
stuff I was writing about were things that I hadn't really told anyone yet and I was nervous on
how people would react when they would read it.
4. What worked well for you on this project? As you look towards your next projects, how
can you find that same success?
For me, finding a quiet space to work alone worked well for me. It allowed me to focus on my
writing and eliminate any distractions around me.
5. What can you do better for your next project? What changes can you make to your
project design, writing process, writing location, etc. to ensure your success?
Something that I can do better is start the writing process earlier so that way I’m not rushed for
time when I’m turning things in.
6. Finally, what can I, your professor, and your classmates do to support you on your next
project?
Nothing needs to be changed, I really liked the way the peer review has been going and your
feedback is really helpful.
