1. What do you mean by SmartArt Graphics?
Answer: - A SmartArt graphic lets you present data or information visually in the form of flowcharts,
diagrams, etc. These graphics are a wonderful way to convey a message effectively.
2. What is the difference between animation and slide transition?
Answer: - Animations are special effects that you can add to text and objects on a slide. Animations can
make the audience pay attention to important points, control the flow of information and make the
presentation interesting.
The way one slide follows the other on the screen during a slide show is called transitions. You can add
the same tradition effect to all the slides or give a different transition effect to every slide.
3. What are the four categories of animation effects? Explain.
Answer: - MS PowerPoint offers many animation effects. These have been organised under four
categories:
Entrance effects: Entrance effects control how an object is introduced into the slide during the slide
show. Some of these effects are Appear, Fade, Fly In, Bounce, Zoom, etc.
Emphasis effects: Emphasis effects occur when the object is on the slide during the slide show. They are
used to emphasize the object. Some of these effects are Pulse, Spin, Underline, Darken, Wave, etc.
Exit effects: Exit effects control how the object exits during the slide show. Some of these effects are
Disappear, Fly Out, Split, Wheel, Swivel, etc.
Motion paths: Motion paths effects enable objects to move from one position to another on the
specified path during the slide show. Some of these effects are Lines, Arcs, Turns, Shapes, Loops, etc.
4. List out the steps to insert an audio clip in a slide.
Answer: - You can also insert an audio file in your slide. The steps to insert audio file are as follows:
a. Select the slide and click on the Insert tab.
b. Click on Audio from the Media group. A drop-down menu appears.
c. Click on the Audio on This PC option. The Insert Audio dialog box appears.
d. Select any one sound file and click on the Insert button to insert it into the slide. The selected audio
file will be inserted in the slide.
5. State the use of Rehearse Timings feature.

5.List out the steps to insert a video clip in a slide.
Answer: - You can also add a video clip to the presentation. To insert a video clip, follow the given
steps:
a. Click on the Insert tab and click on the Video from the Media group.
b. Click on the Video on This PC option from the submenu. The Insert Video dialog box opens.
c. Select the video and click on the Insert button. The video clip will get inserted in your slide.

1. What is the difference between a worksheet and a workbook?
Answer: - A workbook is a collection of multiple worksheets stored under a single filename.
A worksheet is a work area made up of rows and columns where you enter and work with
data. When you save an excel worksheet, you are actually saving a workbook.
2. Define formula bar.
Answer: - It displays the contents of the current cell. It also displays the formula used in the cell.
It contains two buttons - Enter button and Cancel button.
a. The Enter button works like the Enter key.
b. The Cancel button can be used to cancel the data entry.
3. Name the different types of data entered in Excel.
Answer: - The different types of data entered in a worksheet are- numbers or numeric data, text and
formulas.
4. Write the steps to rename a worksheet.
Answer: - You can change the name of the worksheet. To change the name of the worksheet,
follow these steps:

b. Type a new name and press the Enter key.
5. What is the use of Auto Fill?
Answer: - Auto Fill is a feature in Excel that allows you to quickly create a series of numbers, dates, or
other items that follow a particular pattern.
You can generate a series by two ways:
