Student Name: Gaurav Parmar Subject Code: 24CAP-659

UID:24MCA20507 Section/Group: 7B

Semester: 2nd Date of Performance: 03/02/2025

Worksheet:2

1. Aim/overview of the practical: Shape Creation and Manipulation: Creating basic shapes such as
rectangles, circles, and polygons. How to manipulate shapes by adjusting properties like size, color,
and stroke.

2.Tools And Requirements:

a) Adobe Animate.

b) Computer with basic animation setup.

3. Steps involved to perform practical:

Step 1: Create a New Project
1. Open Adobe Animate.
2. Create a new project by going to File > New and selecting the desired canvas size and frame rate
for your animation.

Step 2: Draw the Road

1. Select the Brush Tool (B) or the Pen Tool (P) to draw the shape of road.
oChoose a soft, rounded brush to create a realistic road look.
o Draw the road on a separate layer, and use multiple layers.

Step 3: Create body of car.

o Select the rectangle shape, then use the Gradient Tool to apply a gradient fill (soft whites
to grays) to simulate shading.
o Also use a soft edge to create the fluffy look by applying a blur effect or feathering edges.
Step 4: Create Tyres:
1. Create a tyre shape:
o Use the ovalTool (O) to create a simple tyre shape, then color it with a black white gradient
to make it look more realistic.
o Convert it into a symbol (F8), giving it a name like "tyre" for easier reuse.
2. Duplicate the tyre symbol across the stage:
o Copy and paste the tyre symbol to create two tyres .
o Arrange the tyres in different layers.

Step 5: Animate the road and car:

1. Select all road and car symbols and group them (Ctrl+G).
2. Use motion tweens to animate the car and road :
3. In the timeline, create a Motion Tween by right-clicking the selected object and
selecting Create Motion Tween.
4. In the first frame, position the car is left side to the screen, then move to a later frame
(e.g., 30-50 frames), and drag the car right side to create the running effect.
5. Add easing to the motion to make it more natural by right-clicking on the motion path and
selecting "Ease In".

Step 6: Animate the tyres:

To make the tyres look more organic, adjust the timing of different tyres. Apply clockwise
motion to the tyres.

Step 7: Adjust the Background and Color

1. Create a sky background:
o Add a solid color background layer with a light blue or gradient to simulate the sky.
o Optionally, you can add a gradient effect for a more dynamic atmosphere (from a
light blue to a slightly darker shade for depth).
2. Add a subtle shadow to the clouds (Optional):
o Use the Brush Tool or Gradient Tool to add a shadow effect under the clouds to
enhance the realism.

Step 8: Test the Animation

1. Play the animation by pressing the Enter key to preview the motion of the clouds and
raindrops.
2. Adjust the speed and spacing of the raindrops, clouds, or other elements as necessary.
Key Components used:
Brush Tool (B) – For drawing freehand shapes, such as the fluffy edges of car.
Ellipse Tool (O) – For creating tyre shapes.
Pen Tool (P) – For drawing custom, more complex shapes like car body.
Gradient Tool – For applying gradients to objects, adding shading and depth (e.g.,
clouds).
Symbols (Movie Clips, Graphics) – For creating reusable elements like tyresand
clouds, which can be easily animated.
Layers – To organize different elements (car, tyres, road) for easier animation and
manipulation.
Timeline – For controlling the timing, keyframes, and sequence of animations.
Motion Tweens – To animate objects (like car and tyres) across the stage with smooth
transitions.
Ease In/Out – To adjust the speed of an animation to make movement look more natural.
Selection Tool (V) – For selecting and manipulating shapes and symbols on the canvas.
Layer Properties – For adjusting opacity, position, and other properties of layers to
create depth and realism in the scene.

Output:
5. Learning Outcomes:

A) I learn how to create symbols using adobe animate.

B) I learn how to apply motion tween on objects.
C) I learn how to apply cyclic motions to objects.
D) How to modify shapes using pen tool and by adding anchor points.
