MECHANICS & CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
School Year 2025–2026

Theme: “Sa PPAN Sama-Sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat”

LARONG PINOY

 Patintero

Mechanics
 The game is open to all Grades 7 to 12 students and teachers of Cawitan
High School.
 Team is composed of 5 students.
 Only one team per grade level is allowed.
 Contest will follow Single-elimination bracket. The bracket
will be posted.
 Each round has a 2-minute time limit. If no team wins within
the time limit, the round is a draw.
 Best of 3 rounds per match.
 A team wins by tagging all opposing players or completing 3
successful runs without being tagged within the time limit.
 Each round win is 1 point. Draws earn 0.5 points each.
 A standard 5x5 meter grid will be used.
 Standard Patintero rules apply.
 The "Taya" (It) is determined by coin toss at the start of each
round.
 Stepping on lines results in a warning. A second offense
results in a point deduction for the offending team.
 Points are tallied after each round. The team with the most
points at the end of the three rounds wins the match.
 If a match ends in a tie, a sudden-death round will be played.
