MC 2: Good morning, everyone, and welcome to MYP 2B’s assembly
MC 1: Before we start our assembly, I request everyone to stand up for the prayer, and repeat
The spa music track is very low
MC 1:
Dear God,
Thank you for this new day
Please take care of my family and friends.
Preserve our comings and goings, keep us safe from all harm and protect us from diseases.
We pray for our nation — let peace, love, and unity rule over this land.
Bless our studies and guide our minds to focus and grow.
We especially pray for the DP 2 and MYP 5 students as they write their board exams — grant
them strength, clarity, and confidence.
Bless our teachers, fellow students, all the akkas, anna’s , security staff, and everyone who
helps make our school a safe and happy place.
May your love and light be with us today and always.
MC 2: Our assembly is based on the theme of Caring and Comeback
Jojo Siwa's boomerang track plays
Tvisha and Dhanya come on stage and play with a Frisbee
MC 2 signals the tech to stop playing the track
MC 1: Guys… that’s a frisbee, not a boomerang
MC 2: All right, so caring is all about being kind, empathetic, and standing by others—not just
when it's easy, but especially when it's hard. It’s about lifting others up, even when you’re falling
down. Comeback is all about rising even after many, many setbacks, turning them into strengths
instead of viewing them as weaknesses.
MC 1: Rightly said, it’s about standing tall, even after you fall — because every ending sparks a
new beginning, and now to establish that definition, we have Zara with the thought of the day
Zara: "Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are
seared with scars. A true comeback doesn’t just change your story—it changes you." — Khalil
Gibran (inspired)
MC 2:Thank you, Zara. Now I call upon Aryan, Yeoul, dhanya and Diya to share the news
Play the intro to the news
MC 1: Thank you for sharing the news with us. We, the class of MYP 2B, have prepared a skit
inspired by the theme of “Caring and Comeback” for you to watch.
Scene 1: The Classroom Conflict
(A group of students are working on a class project. Suddenly, a small
disagreement turns into a big argument.)
Aryan(Student 1):
"I told you, SHREE HAR,I our project should be about AI in education!"
Shreehari:
"Oh really? You just want an easy topic! I want to do something unique, like AI
that detects when someone is lying!"
Tvisha(Student 3):
(Whispers to Dhanya) "Maybe Shree needs that AI for himself!"
(Everyone laughs, except Shreehari, who gets offended and walks away.)
Shree:
"Fine! If you don’t want my ideas, do it without me!" (Exits dramatically, flipping
his notebook like a movie villain.)
(Dhanya, the good Samaritan, watches and sighs.)
Dhanya:
(Shaking her head) "And they say only girls are dramatic."
Exit and re-enter characters
Sara:
"Let’s just replace Shreehari with someone else. Maybe the class topper?"
Tvisha:
"Nooo! The topper will make us do actual work!"
(Everyone laughs, but Dhanya steps in.)
dhanya:
"Wow. So you’re cutting out a friend because of one argument just like that?
That’s colder than the AC in this school!" Even my Wi-Fi has a better connection!”
Aryan :
(Crosses arms) "He walked away first!"
dhanya:
"True, but imagine if the Avengers split up every time they argued. No
superheroes, just awkward family dinners!"
(Everyone laughs but also realises their mistake.)
sara:
"Fine… we’ll talk to him."
(They find Shreehari sulking in a corner.)
Cue sad hamster song
Aryan:
"Hey Shreehari, we were wrong. Let’s work together."
Shree :
"Hmmm… I’ll forgive you under one condition."
Tvisha:
"What?"
Shree :
"Someone gets me a samosa from the canteen."
(Everyone laughs, and friends rush to buy him one. The friendship is restored!)
Scene 2
(Meanwhile, in class, Roohani is sulking about his teacher, Mr. Raj.)
Roohani:
"Mr. Raj always picks on me. I bet he was born with a red pen in his hand, just to
mark my mistakes." I sneeze—homework. I yawn—more homework.”
Kiyan:
"Yeah! And I swear, he enjoys giving homework!"
(Mr. Raj overhears and clears his throat.)
Mr. Raj:
"Oh, don’t stop on my account. I’d love to hear more about this secret life of
mine!"
(Roohani and Kiyan freeze in panic.)
Roohani:
"Uhhh… we were just saying how… uh… GREAT your teaching is!"
Mr. Raj:
(Smirks) "Right. And I’m secretly a Bollywood star."
(The class bursts into laughter. But later, Roohani genuinely confronts Mr. Raj
about being too strict.)
Scene 3: The Teacher’s Lesson
Roohani:
"Sir, why are you always tough on me?"
(Mr. Raj pulls out Roohani’s last test paper.)
Mr. Raj:
"Because I know you can do better. If I didn’t care, I’d just let you be average. Do
you want to be just ‘okay,’ or do you want to be great?"
Roohani:
(Thinks for a moment) "I guess… great."
Mr. Raj:
"Good! Now, do your next assignment properly… and maybe I’ll cancel next
week’s surprise test."
(The class gasps!)
sara:
"Wait—THERE’S A SURPRISE TEST??"
Mr. Raj:
(Laughs) "Not anymore. Or is there? Who knows?"
(Students scream in playful horror as the scene ends with laughter.)
Skit 2:
Kiyan: Welcome to HUS got no talent!
Cue intro
Shreehari: bro, it’s got talent you can't say that
Amey: Yeah, yeah, welcome to HUS Got Talent!
Kiyan: Bring your best,
Shreehari: Or at least bring something.
Kiyan: We are your judges
Kiyan: Kiyan,
Shreehari: Shreehari,
Amey: And Amey
Kiyan: Here are our first contestants
Lights above judges switch off
MC1: Backstage, our first contestants were stressing out
Tvisha: I forgot to practice, we’re cooked.
Thanuja: It’s okay, we’ll do great.
Tvisha: If you say so.
Contestants exit stage
Contestants re enter stage & lights above judges switch on
Kiyan: Hello, what are your names?
Thanuja: Thanuja and tvisha
Shreehari: So what will you be doing for us today?
Thanuja: We will be singing today
Amey: very well, you go ahead
Tvisha: Before we start I just want to say that I love this artist who wrote the song
we are singing today so much and I think he's so inspirational and amazing and I
love him so much.
Tvisha takes off her jacket revealing a photo of young justin bieber
Kiyan: ummmm… ok? You can start
Thanuja and tvisha lip sing horrible to the song baby from backstage
Kiyan, amey, and shreehari react with disgust and all hit no
Fail sfx plays
Kiyan: Enough enough, we have heard enough from you guys you can leave
Thanuja and Tvisha linger on stage, whispering but like INTO the mic
Thanuja: I think we did okay
Tvisha: I hate to break it to you, but I'm pretty sure we both failed..
Amey: GET OUT
Thanuja and Tvisha leave the stage disappointed
Shreehari: That was umm something, Now our 2nd contestants!
Lights above judges switch off
MC2: Backstage, our contestants, Lavanya, and Roohani, were confident. They
knew they were going to win.
Lavanya: We’ve got this in the bag.
Roohani: Yeah, of course. We’ve totally been practicing.
Contestants exit stage
Contestants re enter stage & lights above judges switch on
Amey: Welcome guys, what are your names?
Lavanya: Roohani & Lavanya
Shreehari: And what will you guys be doing for us today?
Roohani: we will be dancing
Kiyan: Well I hope you guys can do better than the first contestants. Whenever
your ready
Cue like Jennie. Roohani and lavanya fail miserably and the judges are
disappointed
Play fail sfx
Shreehari: Is it over?
Kiyan: just leave
Roohani and lavanya leave in disappointment
Judges leave
MC2: Backstage the contestants were disappointed in themselves, but they used
this failure as motivation to rise
Tvisha: I can't believe we failed that bad
Thanuja: I really thought we could do it :(
Roohani:Omg that was so embarrassing
Lavanya: That was horrible
Tvisha: Wait, you guys didn’t do well either?
Lavanya: nope
They all sit in silence
Vanya: walking up to Tvisha and Thanuja
"Hey, don’t beat yourselves up about it. Failure doesn’t define you. It’s just a
pitstop to greatness. You’ve got a chance to rise again — don’t let it slip away."
Tvisha: sighs "But we failed so badly, Vanya. It was embarrassing."
Diya: comforting Roohani and Lavanya
"Listen, it’s okay to stumble. Everyone falls. But the best part? You get up
stronger. Think about all the people who failed before becoming successful —
their failures are the reason they made it. You just have to believe in your
comeback."
Lavanya: looking defeated "But we’ve already messed up. It’s too late."
Aaron: smiling
"Are you kidding? There are plenty of comebacks in history — sports, battles, life
— you name it. Michael Jordan got cut from his high school basketball team, but
he didn’t give up. Look where he ended up — one of the greatest basketball
players of all time. They told him he couldn’t, but he proved them wrong."
Roohani: pauses and thinks "I guess... but this feels different."
Kiara: gently placing a hand on Roohani's shoulder "Do you know the story of
Nelson Mandela? He spent 27 years in prison, fighting for equality. 27 years! And
when he came out, he didn’t give up on his cause — he fought even harder, and
eventually, he became the president of South Africa. They told him he couldn’t
change the world, but he did. You know what? Failure is just a step in the
journey, not the end."
Thanuja: looking up "Yeah, but that’s huge. We’re just singing and dancing."
Diya: "But your dream is just as big as any champion’s. Remember Serena
Williams? She almost quit tennis after a major injury, but came back to win even
bigger tournaments. It’s never too late to turn things around. What you have in
your hearts — that's the true strength."
Nithila: smiling, hands on her hips
"And remember, in a fight, if you give up after the first punch, you'll never know
how strong you could’ve been. Muhammad Ali was knocked down many times,
but he didn’t stop. He came back each time and became the greatest."
Roohani: reflects, nods slowly
"I see what you mean. I’m tired of letting failure define me." (stand up)
Lavanya: "Yeah, let’s give it one more shot. What do we have to lose?" (stand
up)
Thanuja: with renewed enthusiasm
"Exactly! Let's give them a performance they'll never forget!" (stand up)
Tvisha: smiling for the first time
"Let’s show them what we’re made of. No one can stop us when we work
together." (stand up)
Diya: cheerfully
"That’s the spirit! You’ve got this. Now go out there and own that stage. You guys
can do anything."
Everyone onstage exit
MC 1: The week after the contestants came back with more people, ready to
redeem themselves

Final Message to the Audience
"As we come to the very last days of this academic year, let’s take a
moment to remember what really matters — not just winning or losing,
but lifting each other up. Friendships may bend, misunderstandings
may happen, but that’s all a part of growing up together. So restore
your friendships, forgive where it’s needed, and care for those around
you — because school isn’t just about grades and talents… it’s about
the memories we make, the lessons we learn, and the people who
help us become who we are.
Sharing is caring. And every setback is a setup for an even stronger
comeback. So as we walk into the next chapter, let’s walk in with love,
courage, and the unshakeable belief that we’re better together."
Powerful Quotes to Inspire the Comeback:
1. Michael Jordan:
“I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300
games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and
missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why
I succeed.”
2. Nelson Mandela:
"I never lose. I either win or learn."
3. Serena Williams:
"A champion is defined not by their wins, but by how they can recover
when they fall.
Moral of the Story:
● Misunderstandings happen, but they should never break friendships.
● A true friend helps in uniting others, not dividing them.
● Friends who fight are often the ones who care the most about each other
Before we wrap up, I’d like to take a moment to thank the wonderful people behind
today’s performance, because great shows are never made alone.
First of all, a huge shoutout to the HRT and our students for guiding us and helping
😄
bring this script to life — thank you for your patience, ideas, and the million times you let
us rehearse instead of finishing pending work!
To each and every actor who brought the script alive with energy, expressions, and
last-minute memorization — you all nailed it! Your teamwork made today super special.
A special round of applause to Sannidh — our tech master behind the scenes. From
managing background music and sound effects to changing lights at the exact right
moment — we couldn’t have done it without you guys. Seriously, you made us sound
better than we actually were!
And now… to our beloved teachers —
We might have made you slightly irritated with our drama, missing classes, random
😅
prop-making in between periods, and constantly begging for “5 more minutes of
❤️
practice.”
We are truly sorry… but hey, you still love us, right?
Thank you for putting up with our chaos. We promise — like the theme of our skit —
we’ll always make a COMEBACK... hopefully better behaved next time!
As this academic year comes to an end, we hope this performance reminded you to
forgive, to care, and to keep coming back — stronger, kinder, and more united.
Because together — we’ve got talent, heart, and a whole lot of comeback energy!
Thank you and have a great day!
Now we request Sivakumar sir to deliver his speech"
