August-September Choose subjects: 6 total (3 HL + 3 SL typically)
September-November Begin core subjects: TOK (Theory of Knowledge), CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service)
October-December Start Internal Assessments (IAs) planning (especially for Group 4 and Economics)
January-April Research and define your Extended Essay (EE) topic
May-June Complete first major TOK exhibition and first draft of EE
Summer Continue EE research, complete CAS reflections, and revise Year 1 content
