16. (a) A rectangular park is 50 m long and 30 m wide. How many meters of fencing will be
required? (b) A shopkeeper buys an article for ■1200 and sells it for ■1440. Find the profit and
profit percentage.
17. (i) In a triangle, the angles are in the ratio 2:3:4. Find each angle. (ii) The sum of two numbers is
50 and their difference is 10. Find the numbers.

SECTION E – Case-Based (4 marks each)


18. A water tank is in the shape of a cuboid of dimensions 4 m × 3 m × 2.5 m. (a) Find its capacity in
liters. (b) If the tank is half full, how many liters of water does it contain?
19. The population of Town A is 52,000 and Town B is 48,000. (a) Find the difference in population.
(b) What percentage is Town A's population greater than Town B's?
