Create a simple cloud software and demonstrate software as a


service for cab booking using zoho software.
Step 1 : Sign Up on Zoho
Visit the Zoho website, sign up using your email, and verify your
account. If you already have an account, log in with your credentials.
This grants access to Zoho Creator, where you will develop the cab
booking app.

Step 2 : Enter Creator Workspace


Go to Zoho Creator, a low-code platform for building applications.
Select "Creator" from the Zoho suite to access essential tools. This
workspace allows you to manage forms, workflows, and automation
for your app.
Step 3 : Create a New Application
Click on "Create Application" to begin setting up your cab booking
app. Enter the required details and proceed to the workspace. This
step initializes the development process, allowing you to configure
essential features. Once created, you can start customizing the
application as needed.

Step 4 : Customize Application


There are 3 types of customizations provided for the application.
1. Create from scratch
2. Create from gallery
3. Import from file
You can select "Create from Scratch" for full customization, "Create
from Gallery" to use pre-built templates, or "Import from File" to
upload an existing database. These options help in structuring the
cab booking system as per your needs.

Step 5 : Name the Application


Choose a meaningful and professional name. This helps in easy
identification and branding. A clear name ensures better organization
and recall within Zoho Creator.
Step 6 : Build the Application
Click on "Create New Form" to add a booking form where users can
enter details. This leads to select a particular template for your
application.

Step 7 : Select Template


After creating the form, choose a suitable template for your
application. Zoho provides various pre-built templates that can be
customized as needed. Selecting the right template helps in
structuring the app efficiently.

Step 8 : Define Basic Fields


Add essential fields such as customer details, pickup time, pickup
date, and so on. Ensure each field serves a purpose in the booking
process. A well-structured form reduces errors and enhances user
experience. After customisation click on “Done” button.

Step 9 : Form label Placement and Deploying


Use Zoho’s drag-and-drop features to make development faster.
Create a form for users to input details like name, phone number,
pickup and drop locations, and date/time. Ensure required fields are
marked and validations are in place. This form will act as the main
interface for users. Then click “Access this application” to deploy the
application.

Step 10 : Booking Form


Users must enter the required details in the booking form, such as
name, contact number, pickup and drop locations, and ride time.
After filling in all fields, they can click "Book Now" to confirm the
booking or "Reset" to clear the form and re-enter details. Ensuring all
required fields are properly filled prevents errors in booking.
Step 11 : Confirm Booking
Display a confirmation message once the booking is successfully
placed. This reassures users that their request has been recorded. A
visible confirmation helps in avoiding duplicate or failed bookings.

Step 12 : Booking Details


Collect and display essential booking details such as customer name,
email, mobile number, pickup location, drop-off location, and ride
time. Ensure all fields are correctly filled before processing the
booking. This information helps in assigning a driver and confirming
the ride efficiently.

Step 13 : Send Confirmation Email


Set up an automated email system to send booking details to the
user. Include information like pickup time, driver details. This step
enhances communication and provides a reference for users.
