Be inspired by myths, fairy tales or legends to write your own original story for Young
Writers’ Grim Tales competition. Write a mini saga, a story in up to 100 words for the
opportunity to be published and win amazing prizes (see below). You could write from
a different point of view, add a twist or create a brand-new fairy tale. Will everyone
live happily ever after? It’s up to you!

STORY STARTERS WRITING PROMPTS
