CERDAVILLE PHARMACY SYSTEM
The name of the pharmacy is Cerdavile pharmacy and it has only 1 branch located in Hatcliffe
which 23Km away from CBD of Harare. It was started in 2018 by Doc Ndingani. There are 15
pharmacists, 8 pharmacy technicians, 3 accountants and customers that come to Cerdavile per
day approximately are about 75. The current system the pharmacy use is manual system to
store records like patient prescription, medication recalls and safety alerts, drug order,
dispensing logs, final records of sales, inventory by writing in books. Its time consuming to track
specific records as they may be stored in multiple locations in different formats that lead to
delays in dispensing medications or other services. Additionally manual system is prone to
human errors such as misfiling data entry that leads to errors in medication dosage which have
serious consequences for patients. They are more vulnerable to disruptions that damage the
records. As a system developer l decided to develop a computer system that does not only help
pharmacists but also customers therefore to solve the problem l have decided to develop a
pharmacy management system that will improve beneficial for the pharmacy by using this
software they can generate bills, maintain stock very well and they can do cost savings and
maintain inventory control. This computerized system can help patients to view the stock
available details through the system and they can upload a prescription after creating an
account.
