Topic: Polynomial Interpolation/Numerical Differentiation/Numerical Integration
Last date for submission: October 21, 2024

Note: Form a group of 5 students for one project report.

Prepare a brief project report on real-life applications of Polynomial Interpolation/Numerical


Differentiation/Numerical Integration. The following points to be considered:

1. Select a problem of your interest where the effect of a variable on a single variable is to be
studied.
2. Collect secondary data set on the variables of your choice.
3. Define the Polynomial Interpolation method.
4. Present the points and the interpolating polynomial on the interval graphically using any
software (MATLAB/Python/R).
5. Study the effect of the choice of degree of interpolating polynomial.
6. Check for goodness of fit of the polynomial and find errors in approximation.
7. Give interpretation for the results.
