Operation Overview -

1. Sony Semiconductor Solutions is coming out with a new plan to increase its sales by
supplying to national defense contractors and security companies and venturing into the
IOT sector.
2. By setting up new production lines and upgrading our production facility in Huizhou,
China, we can increase our output by 3%.
3. Start a proxy company which supplies parts to internationally sanctioned nations like
Russia which have technology bans on them.

Operation Details -

1. Marketing -
a) Create a government focused marketing plan
b) We will pitch sony semiconductor solutions to national defense contractors by
pointing out the incentives of lower bulk prices, the essential improvements with
the inclusion of semiconductors in the military.
c) For securities companies, we will pitch B to B, the uses of semiconductors in
security purposes and talk about the uses of semiconductors in cctv’s.
d) Provide few samples to the national defense contractors such as Lockheed
Martin and General Dynamics. companies of a prototype of a potential product
they can use to improve security standards.
e) We will market our proxy company to “sanctioned” countries such as Russia and
sell them vital components at inflated prices maximizing our profits

2. Research and Development -


a) Researching the mass extraction of silicon at a cheaper price , because it is a
main component in the manufacturing process of semiconductors.
b) Development of more IoT specific semiconductors for devices through research.
c) Research on the nation specific requirements for military and develop prototypes
which can be pitched later on to the government

3. Customer Satisfaction -
a) Providing reliable and cheap products in bulk that last for a long time
encouraging present customers to be interested in future deals

4. Finances -
a) The finance department will provide an adequate sum of funds to each aspect of
the business in order to ensure that setting up production is a success.
b) The department of finance will also make sure that the chips are economically
priced and are comparatively affordable when compared to other companies
such as Samsung electronics

5. Production -
a) After R&D when a prototype has been agreed upon by the national defense
contractors, we will begin mass production of the product specific to the nation.
b) Production lines will be set up in China, since the purchasing cost of materials
from China is cheaper.
c) Setting up production lines in China will also mean decreased transportation
costs due to closer proximity of materials.

6. Human Resources -
a) Labour will be outsourced at a minimal cost from China.
b) Employees will be full time and will work 12 hour shift at lower wages to
maximize company profits and production
c) There will be supervisors appointed by the factories to oversee production and
reach the desired output
