HOLY THURSDAY COMMENTS

GENERAL INTRODUCTION

Beloved of God, praise be Jesus Christ!

We celebrate this evening the commemoration of the Lord's Supper. Today the liturgy
celebrate in all its splendor the Eucharist, memorial of the Easter of Christ, sacrament
of his infinite love for us and of the love we must have for one another;
and the institution of the washing of feet practiced by Christ himself as a sign of humility and
of service of brothers and sisters in the community.

Brothers and sisters, tonight we will remember the last words of Christ on the eve of
his death and celebrate the gestures of love at his last meal. Christ loved us
to the end and left us an example to follow. Let us therefore open
our hearts in the light of his love.

Let's ask God during this eucharistic celebration for the grace of humility and
mutual love.

Now, let us rise to welcome him who comes in the name of the Lord!

1st reading

Here are the rites of the meal where the paschal lamb is consumed, a sign of liberation and
communion. If the Eucharist renews the meaning of this meal, it also roots us in
long story of the great deeds of God. Let us listen to the book of Exodus in Chapter…

2thlecture

The Apostle Paul in his first letter to the Corinthians reveals to us the account of
the institution of the Eucharist by Jesus to his disciples, on the night he was betrayed. Let us listen!

Universal Prayer

1. For the Holy Catholic Church and its pastors: the pope, the bishops, the priests,
deacons and all apostolic workers, so that filled with the Holy Spirit, they continue
unceasingly announcing the Good News of salvation to the ends of the earth with love,
wisdom and humility despite the difficulties encountered.
For all the leaders of the world and those of our country in particular, so that the
Lord grant them the grace to govern and serve their peoples with wisdom,
intelligence and humility so that peace, stability, and reconciliation are at the center
of their actions.

3. For all those who suffer under the weight of suffering so that Jesus, bread of life
may their lives manifest more and provide them with the long-awaited comfort and health.

4. For all of us gathered here and for all Christians that, following the example of Jesus
we may be artisans of peace, joy, and love among our brothers; and that
the Eucharist celebrated on this day strengthens our faith and our hope in
Lord.
GOOD FRIDAY COMMENTARY

Entry warning: silence time

Jesus gathers us. Here he is on his last path, the path of his suffering, the path
towards the Cross. Christ loved us to that extent. Let us therefore move forward with full confidence.
to the God of all mercy. Let us prepare our hearts for the silence of love to listen
the one who has so much to tell us, to contemplate the Cross that saves us, to partake of the
the depth of our being to the death and resurrection of Christ.

Brothers and sisters, in silence, let us rise and welcome the celebrant!

First reading

The mysterious servant of God described by the prophet, fallen then glorified, makes of his
suffering a voluntary gift of oneself. It is already the face of the crucified that takes shape within him.
Let's listen to the reading of the book of Isaiah.

2emelecture

Jesus, the Son of God, experienced trial, like us, not because he was a sinner, but
to obtain forgiveness, the grace of God. Let us listen to the excerpt taken from the Letter to the
Hebrews.

Easter Sunday

Introduction

Beloved of God, praised be Jesus Christ!

In communion with the Church our Mother, we joyfully celebrate the Solemnity of
Easter: the Resurrection of the Lord, the victory of life over death. The liturgy of the Word
reveals in all its splendor that Jesus is truly resurrected.

Indeed, celebrating Easter is to believe in the resurrection and to seek the

realities from above because it is there that Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Jesus, victorious over
death comes to purify us of our faults and bring us the light of life so that
We Christians of today may bear high the witness of the Resurrection to
ends of the earth.

During this Eucharistic celebration, let us ask the risen Lord to
