Introduction
◦ Education is fundamental for achieving full human potential,
developing an equitable and just society, and promoting national
development.
◦ India will have the highest population of young people in the world over
the next decade, and our ability to provide high-quality educational
opportunities to them will determine the future of our country.
◦ The global education development agenda reflected in the Goal 4
(SDG4) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by
India in 2015 - seeks to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality
education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all” by 2030.
◦ Such a lofty goal will require the entire education system to be
reconfigured to support and foster learning, so that all the critical
targets and goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable
Development can be achieved.

Solution for
the
Problems
After more than 70 years of independence, India's
higher education system has still not been
developed fully

• Absence of Indian universities in the top 100 globally.

• Low employment rates of Indian graduates.
ISSUES WITH • Limited national awards and recognition received by Indian
HIGHER institutions. Inadequate research funding allocation.
EDUCATION IN
INDIA Moreover, the status of state public universities that
produce over 90% of the graduates in India is more
dismal.
Complexity of Global Issues: Many of today's most pressing challenges, such as climate
change, public health crises, and socioeconomic inequality, are multifaceted and
interconnected. Addressing these issues requires perspectives from multiple disciplines.
Innovation and Creativity: Interdisciplinary collaboration can spark innovation and creativity by
bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise. It encourages thinking outside traditional
disciplinary boundaries.
Holistic Understanding: Interdisciplinary approaches allow for a more holistic understanding of
complex phenomena, as they take into account the social, economic, environmental, and
cultural dimensions of issues.
Interdisciplinary Cross-Disciplinary Solutions: Solutions to complex problems often lie at the intersection of
different disciplines. Interdisciplinary research can lead to more comprehensive and effective
studies and solutions.
Preparation for the Workforce: Many employers value interdisciplinary skills, as they reflect
research adaptability, critical thinking, and the ability to work in diverse teams. Interdisciplinary studies
can better prepare students for the demands of the modern workforce.
Academic Collaboration: Interdisciplinary collaboration fosters academic partnerships and
networks, leading to a broader exchange of ideas and research findings.
Policy and Governance: Interdisciplinary research can inform policy and governance by
providing a more nuanced understanding of complex issues and potential solutions.
Promoting Inclusivity: Interdisciplinary approaches can facilitate the inclusion of marginalized
voices and perspectives, leading to more equitable and just outcomes.
Promoting Sustainability: Interdisciplinary research is often crucial for addressing sustainability
challenges, as it considers the interconnectedness of social, economic, and environmental
factors.
Will
National
Education
Policy 2020
transform
the future
gen?
Education must develop both the „foundational
capacities ‟of literacy and numeracy & „higher-order‟
cognitive capacities such as critical thinking and
problem solving.

Principles
It should also include social, ethical, emotional
governing capacities and dispositions.
National
educational policy
2020 The teacher must be at the centre of the
fundamental reforms in the education system..

Administration
Latin :- “Ad + ministrare”

to serve

“Serve to Whom ?”

”People” in University
(who are the stakeholders)

Students (Primary Stakeholders)

People Employee (Teaching & Non-Teaching)

Public at large (who came for Research/ Visit like ”temple”, museum, morning walk, etc.)
WHY? But Administration is
“dreaded”, “hated” considered
as ”vile” by the people (stake
holders) of the University.

Generally speaking in, any of the university administrator are supposed to help the students and teacher’s to optimise their
goals (learning). But most of the administration sit in Plush cosy offices with absolute powers and their contribution to University
primordially is zero.

(This is the view of other stakeholders)

Well as “Administrator’s” are we responsible for this notion?

May be……………………
Because we have to instil the rule based system. “Rules ” are being hated in general.

However, some times people may be blaming the implementing authority instead of “rules” so we have to
make them understand. As administrators many of us fail to communicate effectively these rule positions
thereby bringing bad repute to entire fraternity.

So the Keyword is proper “Communication”

Anyways Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Institute is an epitome of this communication and our
communication movers from top to bottom as well as bottom to top.

Let’s understand the structure and system’s in Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Institute
