Data Gathering Procedure
A request letter, duly endorsed by the Dean of Graduate Studies, will be sent to
the Schools Division Superintendent of Oriental Mindoro. Upon approval, the consent of
the Mansalay District Public Secondary School Heads will be obtained. Since this study
will be conducted during class hours, schedules will be arranged to ensure full
attendance of the researcher and compliance with DepEd Order No. 9, Series 2005,
also known as "Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-On-Task and Ensuring
Compliance."
The researcher will personally administer the survey at each school to promptly
address any questions or clarifications and to assure respondents that their answers will
be kept confidential. Each school will be allocated one (1) day to complete the survey
questionnaires. The objectives and instructions for completing the questionnaires will be
incorporated into the research instrument to ensure the dependability and reliability of
the data collected. Each teacher will be given a minimum of 30 minutes to complete the
survey.
The completed survey questionnaires will be retrieved by the researcher once
the last respondent has finished answering. The data will then be manually tabulated
and processed using spreadsheets. Tables will be created to organize, analyze, and
summarize the data. The results for each variable will be interpreted using both
statistical and descriptive methods.
Ethical Considerations
In this study, the researcher will seek permission from the respective authorities,
including the University President, other Academic Officials, and most importantly, the
teachers who will serve as the respondents. The researcher will explain to the teachers
the importance of their participation in the study, as their responses will be used for data
collection. The data gathering process will include obtaining written prior informed
consent and disclosing access and benefit sharing terms. The willingness of the
informants to participate in the study and accept the terms of the PIC and ABS, which
will be specifically created for this purpose, will be crucial factors in their participation.
Data gathered from the respondents will be treated with utmost confidentiality, in
accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012. Furthermore, no sensitive issues will be
disclosed or discussed in the study. There will also be no conflict of interest in the
pursuit of the study.
To ensure anonymity, the researcher will guarantee that participants' identities
remain unknown to anyone reviewing the study, thereby protecting their personal
privacy. Confidentiality will be maintained in safeguarding the information provided by
participants, ensuring it is not disclosed to unauthorized parties and used solely for the
purposes outlined in the study. In addressing the potential for harm, the researcher will
take all necessary steps to minimize physical, psychological, and social risks to
participants, prioritizing their safety and welfare throughout the research process.
