Fundamental Concepts
Point: A location in space. It has no dimension (no length, width,
or height).
Line: A straight path of points that extends infinitely in two
directions. It has one dimension (length).
Plane: A flat surface that extends infinitely in all directions. It has
two dimensions (length and width).
2. Angles
An angle is formed by two rays sharing a common endpoint,
called the vertex. Angles are measured in degrees (°).
Acute Angle: Measures less than 90°.
Right Angle: Measures exactly 90°.
Obtuse Angle: Measures more than 90° but less than 180°.
Straight Angle: Measures exactly 180°.
3. Basic Shapes
Triangle: A three-sided polygon. The sum of its angles is always
180°.
Quadrilateral: A four-sided polygon. The sum of its angles is
always 360°.
4. Simple Formulas
Square: A quadrilateral with four equal sides and four right
angles.
Perimeter: P = 4s (where s is the side length)
Area: A = s^2
Rectangle: A quadrilateral with four right angles and opposite
sides of equal length.
Perimeter: P = 2(l + w) (where l is length and w is width)
Area: A = l \times w
