Course Title: Physics and Its Impact on Life

Total Credits: 03 (Credits: Theory-03, Practical-0)

Total Lectures: Theory- 45

Course Objectives This course enables the students:

1. To provide a foundation in the development of physics and its influence on human

civilization.

2,To introduce fundamental physical quantities, units, and laws of motion.

3.To study elasticity and thermodynamics and their practical applications.

4.To analyze electricity, magnetism, and astrophysical phenomena in daily life.

Course Outcomes After the completion of this course, students will be able to:

CO1: Remember the historical evolution of physics and explain how scientific discoveries
shaped technologies and human life.

CO2: Understand fundamental physical quantities, units, and types of motion, and relate them
to applications in transport, sports, and daily activities.

CO3: Apply the principles of elasticity and thermodynamics to analyze structures, machines,
engines, and biological systems.

CO4: Analyze the role of electricity and magnetism in modern technology such as
communication, power generation, and medical instruments.

CO5: Evaluate astrophysical phenomena and assess their influence on human life, environment,
and technological advancement.
