I am an experienced biomedical engineer with proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing

Aptitude for conducting preventative maintenance and quality assurance testing of
surgical equipment, including patient monitors and video integration systems.
Proficiency in the setup and calibration of laboratory technology; experience assessing
lab needs and making purchasing recommendations per project needs.
Expertise in identifying the root cause of equipment failures, and creating and
implementing solutions that rectify issues and enhance device performance.
As an intern with Caltern Industries’ Biomedical department, I assisted senior engineers and
technicians in the monitoring and conducting routine maintenance of lab equipment that included
physiological monitors, which were used continually to monitor patients participating in a lung
study that was under the supervision of pulmonologists. In this capacity, I created an online
notification system for collaborating departments to request technological support in the event of
equipment failure and/or the need to recalibrate equipment. The system led to a reduction in
average response of technicians by 70%, down to 15 minutes. As your biomedical engineer
position requires root cause analysis and lab support experience similar to mine, I believe I
