Definition

What is an Adverb?

It is a word that describes or adds to the


meaning of a verb, an adjective and
another adverb, etc.
What is a Clause?

It is a group of words which form a


grammatical unit and which contain a subject
and a finite verb. A clause forms a sentence
or part of a sentence and often functions as a
noun, adjective or adverb.
What is an Adverb
Clause?

a finite verb that describes or adds to the
meaning of a verb, an adjective and another
adverb.
Formula

Subordinate Conjuction + S + V

Surbordinate conjuction yaitu after, before, until,


since, while, althought, as, because, so, so that, provide, if,
when, where, why, how, etc. S adalah subjek yang bisa anda
gunakan berupa kata benda (noun), kata ganti (pronoun)
ataupun frase kata benda (noun phrase). Dan V adalah kata
kerja (verb) yang bisa anda gunakan berupa kata kerja utama
maupun kata kerja bantu.
Example
1. The carnaval show will start after the sun goes down. (artinya:
pertunjukan karnaval itu akan dimulai setelah matahari
terbenam.
2. We can swim in the beach as soon as we put on plenty of
sunscreen. (artinya: kita bisa berenang di pantai segera setelah
kita memakai banyak tabir surya/ sublock)
3. Because she loved his, she didn’t believe he had an affair.
(artinya: karena ia perempuan mencintainya laki-laki, ia
perempuan tidak percaya dia laki – laki berselingkuh)
4. Unless you run slow, you will miss the bus. (artinya: kecuali
kalau kamu berlari lambat, kamu akan ketinggalan bus)
5. When she cleaned the badroom, she found a lot of paper.
(artinya: ketika dia perempuan membersihkan tempat tidur, dia
perempuan menemukan banyak sekali kertas)
