Text Structure
Identification
01 This is the first part of the text. It introduces the
subject or object that will be described. The writer
usually tells what or who is being described by
giving a name, type, or general information.
Example: “I have a cat named Mochi.”

Description
02 This part explains the details or characteristics of
the object. It includes specific information such as
the color, size, shape, behavior, or special
features. The goal is to help the reader clearly
imagine the object. Example: “She has soft white
fur, big blue eyes, and she loves to play with a ball
of yarn.”

Identification:
I have a cat named Mochi. She is a Persian cat with soft, white fur and big
blue eyes.
Description:
Mochi is very playful and friendly. She loves to play with a ball of yarn and
sleep on my lap. Her tail is long and fluffy. She usually eats fish and drinks
milk. Mochi always follows me wherever I go.

Language Features
Simple Present Tense: is, loves, eats, drinks, follows.
Adjectives: soft, white, big, playful, friendly, long, fluffy.
Noun Phrases: a cat named Mochi, a ball of yarn, soft,
white fur.
