SOCIAL EQUITY AT PENN

Penn’s ongoing commitment to engaging with issues of equity and social justice is visible through a broad range of initiatives across centers, academic programs, research projects, student organizations, special events, and more. We celebrate the people behind all of these efforts – staff and administrators, faculty, students from undergraduate to graduate and professional – at all levels, in every corner of Penn. The Office of Social Equity and Community serves as a resource to connect people and efforts throughout the university and identify new opportunities for collaboration.

PENN IN PHILADELPHIA

Penn is a part of Philadelphia, and Philadelphia is a part of Penn. We are proud to be so deeply connected to one of the most storied and impactful cities in America. The history is long and layered, and two things are simultaneously true; there is much to celebrate about Penn in Philadelphia, and there is also more work to be done to address past and present concerns. As we promote respectful dialogue and meaningful collaboration, we are committed to listening, learning, growing, and taking action together.

penn around the world

Faculty and students across our 12 schools examine and create new knowledge every day, from the arts and humanities to the health and lab sciences, from business and technology to the social sciences and law. In all of these areas there are many great minds dedicated to raising consciousness about the world, and to making a positive impact upon it.
