With Hugo deprecating libsass I needed to convert the Zen theme to either dartsass or vanilla css. LibSass has been deprecated for some time by the Sass team in favour of Dart Sass.
Modern css has come a long way, implementing many of the things that made sass so good. One of the really big things is nesting. I checked CSS Nesting | Can I use and decided the uptake was good enough.
The first search engines I remember using were WebCrawler and then Altavista. From 1999 it was, of course, Google. For about fifteen years I used only Google, it was simply the best.
About ten years ago I started looking for and using alternatives, mostly DuckDuckGo. It was ok but frequently I needed to fall back on “!g” (searching with Google). Then in 2023 I found Kagi Search.
Four years ago I posted My new Hi-Fi setup, Raspberry Pi, Allo DigiOne, Moode and Schiit DAC. Since then I have made some upgrades.
I have a new integrated amplifier that includes a good DAC. The Raspberry Pi with Allo DigiOne stayed for some time. But did that solution feed the new amp the best possible signal? Time to build a new and improved streamer.
