I’m Yanira Garcia, and welcome to The Rebrand!

It’s pronounced YAH-KNEE-DAH for those who struggle with rolling the R.

I’m an agency-represented wardrobe stylist and a freelance makeup artist, and I’ve been in the game since 2002. I launched my blog, Manolos, Manicures, & This Mom, on Blogspot in 2009 to share my life as a mom working in this industry. By 2015, I rebranded it under my previous name, Yanira Garza.

In January 2017, after three kids and more than a decade of marriage, I went through a brutal divorce. Yes, he did exactly what you think he did, and yes, I did the unthinkable—I deleted that entire blog because it had his name on it. With it, I also erased my entire online history. I wasn’t savvy enough to back it up, and I didn’t have the words to keep writing at the time. By 2020, the pandemic led me to step away from the industry entirely.

Fast forward to Fall 2024: I woke up one day and thought, “Wait. I’m 40. What the hell am I doing with my life?”

And here I am—back at it, older, wiser, with no restrictions and a much better sense of style.

Oh, and now I’ve got all the words.
