Today DX supported this year's Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day. It was great to see so much festive cheer across the length and breadth of our network, whilst supporting such a worthwhile cause, we even had an inflatable Christmas cookie. At our DX Freight depots in Manchester and Middleton this week, we saw the very best of DX in action. Amongst the pace of the Christmas period, colleagues came together to continue a tradition that has become part of the fabric of the operation. What began as a simple idea from our Traffic Manager, Amanda Dutton, has grown into a collective effort involving teams across both sites and their families. Together they raised almost £2,000 to buy Christmas gifts for children who might otherwise have nothing to open. The donations will support three incredible charities working across Greater Manchester: Mission Christmas, The Lighthouse Project and Promises. The photo shows only a few of the people involved, yet it reflects the contribution of drivers, warehouse teams, office colleagues and family members who all played their part. To everyone who supported this initiative, thank you. Rebecca has been an amazing support to our Customer Services Team at our DX Freight Depot in Bristol, which at the time included a number of new recruits. She mentored and supported these new team members, whilst managing her own team in Plymouth. Rebecca is a real team player and nothing is ever too much trouble for her.
