Last week, Evri joined Scope’s parliamentary reception at the House of Commons to mark the International Day of Disabled People 💙💜 The event featured insights from Mark Hodgkinson, Scope’s Chief Executive, as well as Liam Conlon MP and Sir Stephen Timms, highlighting the ongoing work to create a more inclusive and accessible society. Guests also heard moving personal stories that illustrated both the real challenges disabled people face and the impact of the support Scope provides. Our colleagues Sarah Fox and Emma Gibson (née Morris) attended on behalf of Evri and took the opportunity to meet with Grace Coffey from Scope to reflect on the progress of our partnership. We're proud of what we've achieved together, but there’s still more to do. Today marks the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 💙 It's a reminder of the ongoing need to remove barriers and create equal access in every part of life: social, cultural, political, economic and beyond. In the UK, 16 million people (one in four of us) are disabled. Disability affects every community, workplace and family. Everyone should have the opportunity to participate fully in society and enjoy equal rights and chances 🤝. Disability equality isn't just for one day - it must be a priority every day.
