2013 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque: owner review

I brought my Evoque new in 2013. it’s a Dynamic model with a 2.2l 6 speed, diesel. From new to now I have done 93,000km in it and its been pretty faultless, a few trim rattles when new but nothing significant. Annual servicing and in once for a few days for a broken gear in the air-conditioning (free curtesy car). It drives like a good sports car (my last was a Subaru Liberty with lots of STI suspension) so has plenty of grunt, corners well, holds the road well and lovely to drive.

Off road it has never lost traction on steep muddy hills, but limited with low clearance over rocks and wading (500mm). Takes dirt roads with ruts easily. It has the same 4wd technology as the larger RRs, but no air lift or locking rear diff.

Difficult for a family as the boot is very small, but find for a couple with a few bags.

Can tow up to 1,500kg I think, but I have a Ford Territory for that purpose, oh and for transporting my 85kg Great Dane.

This is my first Land Rover and it been excellent, dealer service is OK, not as good as Subaru, but miles ahead of Ford.
