"Collaborative LaTeX editing experience"
What do you like best about Overleaf?

Overleaf makes creating LaTeX documents simple and efficient. I love the real-time collaboration, which is perfect for working with teammates or advisors. The built-in templates for research papers, resumes, and reports save time, and automatic version control ensures you never lose progress. It’s also great that everything runs in the browser. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Overleaf?

Some advanced features, like full version history and GitHub integration, are only available in the paid plan. Large or complex projects can also compile a bit slowly at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient and user-friendly LaTeX editor for collaboration"
What do you like best about Overleaf?

Overleaf makes LaTeX accessible by eliminating the need for complex local setups. Real-time collaboration, version control, and built-in templates streamline the writing process. The intuitive interface and quick compilation make document creation much more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Overleaf?

The free plan has limited features, such as restricted version history and collaboration limits. Additionally, compiling large documents or using custom packages can sometimes be slower or more restrictive compared to a local LaTeX setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Overleaf- Simplifies LaTex."
What do you like best about Overleaf?

I love the templates that overleaf offers. Working LaTex is  excruciatingly  difficult  as  it is. Overleaf simplifies it a little bit. Also, most LaTex editing softwares are quite archaic looking. Overleaf's UX  is  quite modern. I love the fact  that  they offer learning material too Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Overleaf?

I don't like that it does not point to the errors in the document more prominently and simplified. I have to sift through all the red marks on the document to figure which one of it is causing the document to not compile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best tool for research"
What do you like best about Overleaf?

The ability to write latex article online with no requirements of local installation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Overleaf?

The project management could be better, to rely only on tags is not the best manner to organise the work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"overleaf for reports"
What do you like best about Overleaf?

The best thing which i like about overleaf is the "effectiveness in its simplicity". Literally, on a simple white piece of paper, with only one or two font style and some bondings here and there, it will give the best alignment which you have been looking for. The systematic sections, many users working on the same Latex document from the overleaf, easy to use (like the resources are installed aldready, you just have to write the code!), there are so many benefits when it comes to overleaf. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Overleaf?

Not many dislikes, but yes, whenever i tried editing my code, well having saved my code 30 min ago, got me worried as internet breakage may cause data loss. Not the fault of the site, but surely we must maintain internet connectivity. Also, we might face complexities in writing the code at the start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I use Overleaf every day from journaling to doing research!"
What do you like best about Overleaf?

- Easy to collaborate with peers: in-app messaging, version control, no need to pull/push,

- A lot of templates for all my writing needs,

- Very fast rendering, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Overleaf?

- There is nothing I dislike about it but I would like it more if we can view multiple parts of the document in different tabs/windows. Sometimes I want to compare things and need to scroll! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Overleaf makes collaborative writting in LaTeX possible"
What do you like best about Overleaf?

The track changes function. It's a life-saver to now be able to edit collaborative manuscripts and have the changes tracked. Before I had to export the .tex file to word, track changes there, make changes in Word, then convert back to .tex to comntinue working in Latex. This was a very involved process and lots of things needed to be changed by hand. When Overleaf incproparted the track change feature from ShareLatex, it was a game changer and I now exclusivly work in Overleaf on Latex files, and have the paid version so I can have collaborators on the files and track their changes. Having my Overleaf files saved to Dropbox is the icing on the cake, as that way I have a backup and do not have to trust one cloud service with my important scientific manuscripts - I always have a back up without having to do anything. That's how technology should be - easy! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Overleaf?

Can't do latexdiff between two latex files in overleaf, so I haven't been able to see how. So I still have to do that locally, but thanks to the overleaf-Dropbox integration I have the latex files locally and can hence easily run latexdiff from the terminal on files I want to compare and then copile the diff.tex file in overleaf without having to download or upload anything manually. "My go-to site to build my resume and CV"
What do you like best about Overleaf?

Overleaf offers a wide range of professional templates designed by its users to choose from and most of them are ATS friendly which makes the whole process of resume building quite easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Overleaf?

For a few issues in the latex code, Overleaf doesn't provide a proper error description to analyze. There have been times when it took a long time to find the error and fix it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
