Save an audience for reuse for your ad campaigns

Save audiences you create for reuse in future campaigns with our Saved Audiences feature. When you save an audience, you can reduce the time it takes to create ad sets, refine your audience to meet evolving marketing goals, and allow others on your ad account to use the same audience in their ad sets.

You can save an audience when you’re creating an ad set or from your Audiences page in Campaign Manager.

Ways to create Saved Audiences

You can create a Saved Audience from audience attributes, or through a combination of the sources listed below, such as choosing a Matched Audience and including additional audience attributes.

Create a Saved Audience when creating an ad set 

To save an audience when creating your ad set:

  1. Follow the instructions to set up your Classic ad set in Campaign Manager. Select your objective, ad set type (Classic), campaign, and review your campaign details. Click the Next button and continue creating your ad set. 

    • Please note, you must choose the Classic ad set type to save your audience.
  2. When you get to the Audience section, use the different fields to create your custom audience.  

  3. After you’ve finished creating your audience, click Save audience at the bottom of the section.

  4. Give a name and description (optional) for your new Saved Audience.

  5. Click Save.

  6. You can either finish creating your ad set or you can click the Save and exit button at the bottom to finish setting up your ad set later. 

Create a Saved Audience from your Audiences page

You can also create a Saved Audience from your Audiences page in Campaign Manager.

  1. Go to your ad account in Campaign Manager.

  2. Click Plan on the left menu and select Audiences.

  3. At the top of the page, click Saved.

  4. Click the Create audience button.

  5. On the right side of the page, add your audience information. 

  6. Once you’ve finished building your audience, click the Apply button at the bottom.  

  7. To save your audience, click Manage at the top, then select Save. Give your audience a name and description (optional), then click the Save button.

  8. Optional: To create an ad set using your new Saved Audience, click Create ad set in the upper-right corner and follow the ad set creation steps. Your audience will automatically be added.
