So, it was far from perfect but definitely better than expected after reading other reviews. Only half of the critique it received is relevant, and therefore the show severely underrated.
The biggest problem is that all the events always lead back to status quo. It's less of a problem for the part2, but even there it is present. Makes watching main cast somewhat boring. Solitaire's journey is much more interesting to watch because he has a clear goal in mind and exactly zero concrete plans of how to get there.
And there is also the problem of making antagonists into friends. It's an idiotic overused trope. It was fine when it was done at the first few episodes, but there should be a limit to this shit. Actual villains would help the show immensely.
On the other hand, characters are nice, story premise and progression are decent, music is good.

Combined opinion of 2 seasons:
The first 2 eps where the MC who is a powerful sorcerer from another world, sees our world for the first time was fun. Thereafter the 1st season is flat. They are trying to create intrigue and interesting characters moulded after durara but its not a success. Its not boring, but not exciting either.
2nd season was a little fun but overall it annoyed me. It was a huge waste of potential. They built a game of thrones like setup with tonnes of great characters but they had no perspective. They lost sight of the fact that this is supposed to be entertainment for the viewers.
They wasted a tremendous amount of fire power fighting with friends. One of the reasons Full Metal Alchemist was so great were the fantastic villains and here there are no real villains.
I would recommend, just skip it. There are too many 'fantastic' animes out there...

The idea of a villain dying and being reincarnated in a modern-day society was interesting. This series even had a compelling start with magic and assassins, but quickly lost steam with the rapid pacing, excessive characters and lack of coherence. The balance with the humor and seriousness was alright. In the end, this started out interesting but then fizzled out... which made this an average watch.

This one definitely throws you in the deep end pretty quick. It's amusing and unexpected, and there seems to be a fairly deep plot hidden underneath all of the strange chivalry and blood. I will say, the only reason this doesn't get full marks from me is how abrupt the end of this season seems. I never mind if there's a big setup for the next season, but it was a little too sudden to leave me fully contended.
Either way, well worth the watch, humorous, introspective, and definitely shows how people can be so strongly shaped by their past.

Absolutly a must see this season!
Only after the first 2 episodes you cat stop watching it, if you like stuff like Goblin Slayer, Steins Gate, Re:Zero or Chaos;Head.
The first episode will confuse you a little, but after 2nd episode you get what its about and you kinda hype for the developement of the main char :)
