Unfulfilled potential
Actually more of a light romance blended in a swords & magic fantasy medival setting
Very likeable pair of ML+FL, a capable prince + a sweet powerful witch
Animation, artworks & design are well in the above upper avg
Thoughout the season, there were adequately enjoyable magical fights, and hints of romance
Thts when the prblms felt apparent, some of the scenes felt rushed, especially the romantic relationship felt it skipped a few stages suddenly
It did try but it always felt it was stucked in 2nd gear
The twist at the last ep, albeit made me shed some manly tears, highlighted the issues more
The pacing was uneven. It shud have spent a bit more to build up the connection and chemistry with the ML+FL
BUT damn the ED song, it was another level, the tune and the lyrics just keeps echoing in my head. Fun fact it was written by one of the cameo char
Still enjoyed watching it, and would when S2 comes. 6/10 for now, ok 7/10 bcoz of the ED song

This show lacks time for the history/ love / plot to developed correctly.
This is sad, because this had much more potential in my opinion.

This follows Oscar who had a curse placed upon him that doesn't allow him to bear children and in a last ditch effort finds Tinasha and over time they form a relationship. The show itself was fine, but it felt rushed as this sped through multiple events and villains. While there are some interesting fights this show was ok, but I'm curious what the next season will do to conclude this story.

I wanted to mark this as "recommended" because the anime left out so many details in order to cram everything it could from the first 3 volumes of the LN into 12 episodes, and it only partially succeeded in doing so.
The story revolves around prince Oscar, the heir to the throne, and Tinasha "The Witch of the Azure Moon" on what they perceive as their first meeting and gradual falling in love in each other, but eventually turns out to be a much more complicated story that transcends time over and over again.
The story, the great animation and soundtrack (with one of the best ED of the Spring '24 season) and of course the deep and interesting characters are what eventually makes me recommend this as a "must-see".

The animation is very consistent throughout the show and the character interactions are nicely crafted especially early on. Unfortunately later episodes are rushed with frequent time skips and it quickly becomes apparent the editor and author are just milking this for endless sequels.
For anime only viewers I recommend skipping episode 12, it ruins the story. You might even be better off watching something with more essence rather than this cash grab. Episodes 1-11 are pretty solid.
For light novel readers this will be welcome fanservice.
