I am a Project Manager of the European Galaxy Team at the University of Freiburg, working as part of the EuroScienceGateway project.

My academic background is in evolutionary biology, with a PhD focused on the terrestrialization of land plants. I investigated gene expression patterns in land plants and their closest algal relatives, Zygnematophyceae, using co-expression network analysis.

I have a diverse programming background. I began with C++, building small projects to learn core concepts, and later expanded into Python for data analysis—developing projects such as a chatroom and a simple multiplayer game. During my PhD, I primarily used R and Bash, leveraging Snakemake to orchestrate workflows on HPC servers and performing statistical analyses locally in R.
