Calculize and Sage Notebook, online math tools

By Vasudev Ram - dancingbison.com | @vasudevram | jugad2.blogspot.com

Calculize and Sage Notebook are two tools for doing mathematics online , i.e. in the browser.
Calculize seems to use its own language for writing math expressions. Sage Notebook supports some widely used math-specific languages, as well as the programming languages R and Python. On a related note, I had blogged earlier about Resolver Systems' PythonAnywhere product, which also lets you run Python in the browser, in this post.
Calculize was mentioned in a post on Hacker News recently. Sage Notebook was mentioned in the comments.

Calculize is at calculize.com

I registered for it (free) and then tried running a simple example. Screenshot below.

Did the same for Sage Notebook (again, registration is free), except that in this case I used the Python mode and defined a few simple Python expressions and then evaluated them, in the browser.
