I don’t even bother arguing with them if they say they already did it. At that point it becomes “ok I’m going to check something on my end, your computer might reboot again when I do this”. Then I just reboot it. No room for argument, no trying to figure out what they’re actually doing.
Not everyone has the time to invest in trying a bunch of different things to find what works for them.
I mean, if falsehoods are the only way you can cope with the shit world we live in and be happy and you’re not pushing it on anyone else go for it. I’m not religious but it’s not like I’ve found an alternative. Best I can do is drink to shut off the part of my brain that’s constantly ruminating on shit. That’s not particularly productive either.
Management: This is exactly why computers should be making the decisions.
Nah, going to a friends house with drinks I bought at the grocery store.
And what exactly does getting arrested and fired accomplish? As they said we’ve got our families and future to worry about. We can’t just throw our lives away for no effect. I’d gladly take on hardships if it got Trump out of office but nothing I can think of to do would even move the needle towards that goal. We need political leaders to step up and lead the way and none of them are doing it.
It is onedrive but the screen I get presents it as setting up a backup of my files.
DO YOU WANT US TO SET UP YOUR BACKUP NOW OR ASK AGAIN IN 3 DAYS?
If they have people available to be doing call backs, why are those people not just answering phones?

They’re rich. His children will be fine wherever they are.
Same, like I have options but I just don’t want to settle for the kind of girl who’s willing to settle for me. I’m not lonely though and enjoy being free to do whatever I want all the time so it’s whatever.
Where’s my Xbox? Oh, the junky Jeff brought over last night stole it.

Well there’s a spectrum to anger issues. I have anger issues but I’m not violent or even verbally abusive. I keep it below the surface. I’m just almost constantly pissed off and have a hard time shutting it down.

There is a big difference between “anger issues” and having demonstrated that you have so little control of yourself when you’re angry that you assault/murder someone. Those in the second category should not be allowed to go about unsupervised until they get their shit together. I’d say the same thing about children and people with mental health issues that prevent them from being responsible for themselves. I’m not saying control isn’t appropriate here. I’m saying it’s not sufficient.

But why is that acceptable? They’re either dangerous or they’re not. Removing their guns doesn’t remove their ability to do harm. It only removes one specific method. How are we arriving at the point of taking their guns if not via a conviction in a court of law?

Cut out soda entirely. Skip breakfast and lunch. Maybe eat a light snack at some point during the day if you need to (real food, not sugary crap). Train yourself to just deal with being hungry. When you do eat, focus on things that are nutritionally dense, filling, and slow to digest.

The logic of that has never made sense to me. If you’re taking his guns away it’s acknowledging that he is a significant enough danger to others that he can’t have access to weapons. If it’s already gone that far why not lock him up to keep him away from the people he is a danger to? It’s not like he couldn’t go on to harm them with some other weapon in the future.
