Tuesday round-up
Optus is increasing the price of its two cheapest NBN plans from July 6, following NBN Co's wholesale price changes. Optus' NBN 25 plan will go up by $4 per month, and its NBN 50 plan will go up by $2 per month.
Aussie Broadband is the latest provider to announce price rises ahead of NBN Co's upcoming wholesale price changes. Most Aussie Broadband consumer NBN plans will increase between $2 and $4 per month, but NBN 750 plans and up aren't getting a hike this time around.

In the last few months, I've helped two households address NBN dropout issues. Both households were on HFC, and in both cases, replacing the Network Termination Device (NTD) solved the problem.
NBN Co has appealed to the Australian Communications and Media Authority to give it a discount on expiring spectrum licences for its fixed wireless services.

Telstra, Optus, TPG and NBN Co will pay just over $7.3 billion to keep expiring mobile and wireless spectrum licenses after the sector’s efforts to lobby for lower costs were rejected.
WhistleOut has obtained new figures from Optus and Vodafone that indicate their 5G population coverage has recently grown to 91.9% and 91.3%, respectively. This has the two smaller telcos almost nipping at the heels of Telstra’s latest published figure of 95%.
