Lecture 10: Fandom

Over the last two decades changing technologies of media reception and use have
dispersed audiences and transformed audience related activity. These observations are
explored in the context of fandom. Are pro-active fans acting autonomously and
creatively? Or are they merely adapting themselves to an ideologically mediated
world?
