CSC784

The Report
At the end of this class, a report should be submitted for evaluation. The report
shall contain the following components;

1. Title (5 marks)
a. The title should reflect a research work that represent dynamic
and challenging contents for the benefit of the larger society.
2. Abstract (5 marks)
a. Highlighting the important part of the research especially the
methods used and results.
b. About half of a page in length in one concise paragraph.
3. Problem Statement(10 marks)
a. Focusing the problem being addressed by the research.
b. Written in one short paragraph.
4. Research Objectives( 10 marks)
a. List the objectives that the research is expected to achieve.
b. Include at least 3 objectives.
5. Literature Reviews(20 marks)
a. An extensive review of literature is expected and must be directly
related to the topic.
b. Include summary of 20 articles in the report.
c. A conceptual framework
6. Research Methodology(20 marks)
a. State a Research Methodology Diagram
b. Explain about data and data collection
c. Present a model or algorithm chosen to solve the problem
d. Explain the technique used in the solution
7. Results (15 marks)
a. Some results are expected to be reported from the preliminary
testing.
b. Simple comparison analysis is sufficient.
c. Observation of models performance is the aim for this part.
8. Discussions(7 marks)
a. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed
solution.
9. Conclusions(8 marks)
a. Discuss the objectives of the research.

Duration of the presentation shall not exceed 20 minutes.

area.
e. Slide #5 : List of 5 related research works

g. Slide #7 : Research Methodology Diagram
h. Slide #8 : Model/Algorithm
i. Slide #9 : Technique
j. Slide #10: Evaluation of proposed solution
k. Slide #11 : Conclusion
5. Handouts must be given to the audience and allow 1-2 questions for
discussion.
6. Presentation must be delivered in English.
