Title of Artifact: Disabled Persons in America Assignment
Standard: Standard Seven: Special Needs- Teachers shall adapt and modify instruction to
accommodate the special learning needs of all students. (New Jersey Board of Education, 2016)

I am placing my Disabled Persons in America under Standard Seven, Special Needs, as evidence
of my continued mastery. With this assignment I provide examples of techniques and
suggestions of ways to modify instruction and accommodate the special needs of all students.
This assignment also shows my understanding of the importance that no student should be left
behind or treated unfairly in the classroom. During this assignment I describe the approach that
is used to identify students with disabilities in a way that is appropriate to use in a classroom.
