Title of Artifact: Introduction Assignment from Foundations
Standard: Standard Five: Assessment- Teachers shall understand and use multiple assessment
strategies and interpret results to evaluate and promote student learning and to modify instruction
in order to foster the continuous development of students. (New Jersey Board of Education,
2016).

I am placing my Introduction Assignment from Foundations under Standard Five, Assessment,


as evidence of my continued mastery. This introduction assignment provides examples and
stories of my education past. Through this statement, I was able to highlight the positives and
negatives of tactics that my past teachers have used to try and promote student learning. I also
take the time to explain how I would modify some of the instruction I received to foster
continuous development of students. This assignment shows perfectly the full circle of the
student getting ready to become a teacher.
