Title of Artifact: Observation Four- Child Observation
Standard: Standard Two: Human Growth and Development- Teachers shall understand how
children and adolescents develop and learn in a variety of school, family and community
contexts and provide opportunities that support their intellectual, social, emotional and physical
development. (New Jersey Board of Education, 2016).
I am placing my Observation Four- Child Observation under Standard Two, Growth and
Development, as evidence of my continued mastery. The observation shows my understanding
of the ways that children develop and learn in a variety of school contexts. Through the
submission of this observation I am showing my support of the students intellectual, social,
emotional and physical development at the age milestone of 3-4 years. Within the observation, I
provide examples of each milestone that the student has passed as well as provide feedback on
techniques that can help him develop even more.
