Title of Artifact: Journal
Standard: Standard Ten: Professional Development - Teachers shall participate as active,
responsible members of the professional community, engaging in a wide range of reflective
practices, pursuing opportunities to grow professionally and establishing collegial relationships
to enhance the teaching and learning process.
I am placing my Journal under standard Ten, Professional Development as evidence of
continued mastery. I am placing this artifact under standard ten because it shows how I am
developing professionally as a learner to becoming an educator. It is important that I reflect upon
what happens in the classroom and see how I would handle things whether they be differently
than how the teacher handled it or maybe even do it the same way if it seems effective.
