Title of Artifact: Journal
Standard: Standard 8: Communication- Teachers shall use knowledge of of effective, verbal,
nonverbal and written communication techniques and tools of information literacy to foster the
use of inquiry, collaboration and supportive interactions.
I am placing my Journal under Standard 8 Communication, as evidence of continued mastery.
My journal is filled with information to help others understand what my days of student teaching
were like on a daily basis. Each visit I was able to learn a new thing and communicate another
skill to a child or teach my myself something. This journal will guide other teachers and parents
in situations when a child is throwing a tantrum or if a child is not being able to sit during circle.
It will inform them on how to handle discipline and guiding within a classroom of 20 or more
students. This journal will also share the benefits of technology within a classroom and explain
the need of balance in life.
