Title of Artifact: Observation 8-Child Study 1
Standard: Standard 2: Human Growth and Development- Teachers shall understand how
children and adolescents develop and learn in a variety of school, family and community
contexts and provide opportunities that support their intellectual, social, emotional and physical
development.
I am placing my Observation 8 Child Study 1 under Standard 2 Human Growth and
Development, as evidence of continued mastery. Teachers will be able to understand the growth
of a child and how far a child should be developmentally by viewing this observation. Within
this observation, there is a lot of information regarding how to help this child become selfsufficient and how to grow. If a teacher were to take these strategies, many children would be
leaving pre-k with major growth levels.
