REPORT ON ENGLISH LANGUAGE WEEK 2017

SMK JAMBATAN PUTIH

INTRODUCTION

English Language can be learnt through various activities which can be more fun and
enjoyable as well as giving information and able to create a positive English speaking
environment. Therefore, English Week is organized as to give the chance of expressing and
learning English in fun way through various activities that are quite different from classroom
activities. With these objectives in mind, English Language Panel together with the English
Language Society had organised SMK Jambatan English Language Week from 25-29
September 2017.

Many interesting activities were conducted to enhance English learning interest


during the one-week programme. Among the activities were Language Games, 3 Minutes
Talk, Quote Of The Day, Quizzes, Exhibition and Diorama Project. All the activities were
specially designed to increase students’ interest and confidence to speak in English Language
in daily life as a second language.

Among the objectives of English in Camp programme are:

1. To be able to communicate to each other in simple communicative language


through various activities
2. To create an Emglish-speaking environment amongs students and teachers.
3. To use simple greetings among the students and teachers.

CLOSING

The English Language Panel and English Language Society were able to carry out the
activities successfully mainly because the students and teachers were very supportive. There
are more rooms for improvement in the future.
