I.Determine the center, the radius of the following circles, and graph it.

1. (x-6)2 + (y+9)2 = 60
Solution:
x2-12x+36+y2+18y+81 = 60
x2-12x+y2+18y = 60-36-81
x2-12x+y2+18y = -57
x2-12x+y2+18y+57 = 0

√60 = 7.7
Radius = 7.7
Center (6,-9)

2. (x+8)2 + (y-8)2 = 30
Solution:
x2+16x+64+y2+12y+36 = 30
x2+16x+y2+12y = 30-64-36 r=5.5
x2+16x+y2+12y = -70
x2+16x+y2+12y+70 = 0
C(8, -8)
√30 = 5.5
Radius = 5.5
Center (-8, -6)

3. (x-4)2 + (y-8)2 = 81
Solution: r=9
x2-8x+16+y2-16y+64 = 81
x2-8x+y2-16y = 81-16-64

Radius = 9
