Dry Ice Cleaning for HRSG Efficiency

This study examines the thermal fatigue behavior of plasma sprayed yttria-zirconia thermal barrier coatings on aluminum alloys. Thermal barrier coatings were applied using plasma spraying and subjected to thermal fatigue testing to evaluate their performance over multiple thermal cycles. Micrographs were taken of fractured coating specimens after testing to analyze failure mechanisms. Results show the composition and microstructure of the coatings impacted their thermal fatigue lifetime.
