Course Description

This 120-hour basic welding training program introduces welders to fundamentals of welding through hands-on training in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and SAW processes. The program covers welding basics, metallurgy, defects, and repair through topics on joints, positions, processes, and safety issues. Upon completion, welders will be able to identify quality welds from different techniques, operate equipment safely, weld metals using four processes, and select correct filler rods and machine settings for steel welding. Learning outcomes are assessed through visual inspection and bending tests. Required materials and facilities will be prepared by the client.
